Seven years after her signature band Rebecca’s Empire called it quits, Rebecca Barnard delivered a come-back blow of sultry pop on her 2006 debut solo album FORTIFIED. Rebecca sang her way to chart success in the 1990's with Empire tunes Atomic Electric, Empty and So Rude. Recorded and mixed by her husband and longtime collaborator Shane O’Mara at Yikesville, the couple’s now-famous home studio (and co produced by Rebecca and Shane), FORTIFIED was a welcome return to recording for one of Australia’s best loved performers.  She has recently graced our TV screens in such shows as RocKwiz and Spicks & Specks.
